La Puerta de Vitalidad is a rental apartment building financed thorough the combined New York State and New York City Permanent Housing for the Homeless Program. Under the PHHP, 51% of the units were set aside for families from Tier 2 shelters in the Bronx. Additionally, Nos Quedamos worked with a local furniture store to provide fully furnished apartments to the homeless families moving into the building.
