El Jardin de Seline (2008-2009)
El Jardin de Seline is a mixed-use rental apartment building within The Melrose Commons area, located on the corner of 158th Street and Melrose Avenue. It is the first privately owned lot to go through the Enterprise Acquisition Loan. It is also the first 12-story building that will be LEED Gold certified in the Melrose Commons area and in the South Bronx. Moreover, it is the first building of its kind to have 10% allocated to families out of shelter, 80% at 60% Area Median Income (AMI), and 10% at 80% AMI. This building will also have three green roofs, one solar panel roof and the venting system has been changed to create a tighter envelope.
The lottery for this building has already been done and families will be able to move in by the end of the year.
